RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
RCIA is a formal program to bring non-Catholics into the Catholic Church. The program involves a group of parishioners journeying with interested adults wishing to be baptized. The group meets by appointment, on Sunday mornings after the 8:30am Mass from October through Easter. RCIA focuses on basic information about Catholicism by discussing themes such as the Bible, the Trinity, Our Creed, Sacraments, Prayer, Mass, Morality, Saints, Church History and many other facets of the Catholic Church. We share our stories and we participate in rites that mark the different stages of the journey (Rite of Acceptance, Rite of Election, and the actual Initiation at the Easter Vigil.) RCIA is also ideal for previously baptized Catholics who wish to complete the sacraments of initiation (Eucharist and Confirmation) or those that are returning to the church after an absence.
